A special Wednesday start time of 6:00, Dan Levinson returns to Shanghai Jazz on Wednesday with the brilliant pianist Mark Shane and drummer Kevin Dorn. There will certainly be some Joplin, some Jelly Roll Morton and probably some James P. Johnson!

Kevin Dorn is an equally brilliant musician and has lent his percussion talents to myriad bands including such stellar musicians as Dan Barrett, Ed Polcer, Dick Hyman, Allan Vaché, Johnny Varro, Bob Wilber, Warren Vaché, Dan Levinson, Mark Shane, Terry Blaine, Randy Sandke, Banu Gibson, Jon-Erik Kellso and Randy Reinhart.

Among the worlds finest clarinetists, Dan Levinson is an honored member of the Shanghai Jazz Family. A true virtuoso with a clarinet, Dan plays with both Vince Giordano and Leon Redbone regularly. He is a master of the jazz styles of the early 1900's He has performed with Mel Tormé, Wynton Marsalis, Dick Hyman, Bria Skonberg, Ed Polcer, Howard, Nicki Parrott and many others. He is indeed, as The Mississippi Rag calls him, “The most in demand reedman!”
