Winard Harper is a true virtuoso on the drums. Having had a deep rooted passion for percussion, Winard began playing at the young age of 5 and has since been one of the most in demand drummers in jazz, not to mention one of the genres greatest advocates! His passion and talent for jazz drumming has led him to play with greats like, Dexter Gordon, Johnny Griffin, and Ray Bryant to name but a few. He founded the Harper Brothers Sextet and their second album, Remembrance, went all the way to #1 on Billboard's Jazz Chart in 1991.  Accompanying Winard will be piano legend Norman Simmons, Vince Dupont on bass, and Anthony Ware on saxophone.
