Karl Latham, Teddy Kumpel and Mark Egan perform iconic pop & rock tunes reinterpreted through the jazz lens! Karl Latham is one of the most in-demand drummers in music today and regularly plays with greats like Don Braden, John Lee and the Dizzy Gillespie All Stars, Edgar Winter, Johnny Winter, Clark Terry, Claudio Roditi and many others.

A spectacular pianist, Alex Collins has been playing with the Dizzy Gillespie All Stars & Lee until Covid shut live performance down. We have been fortunate to get to know him and listen to his playing for about a year now since the great, John Lee brought him to Shanghai Jazz.

Rounding out the trio is renowned bassist, Calvin X. Jones. He is a New York based musician, who has toured the world with his good friend, Karl Latham, Don Braden, Cecil Brooks, Max Roach, and many more, as well as on Broadway in “Bring ‘N Da Noise, Bring ‘N Da Funk,” “ Ain’t Nothin’ But The Blues,” “All Shook Up,” and “The Janice Joplin Show.”
