Saxophonist Alex Laurenzi has been part of the Shanghai Jazz family since his high school days. Originally from Mountain Lakes, Alex is a band leader, composer, and arranger who has played with major artists, Christian McBride, Wynton Marsalis, Archie Shepp, Gerald Clayton, Ambrose Akinmusire, Audra Day, Wycliffe Gordon, Al Jarreau and more. His bands always put on wonderful performances.

Accompanying Alex on piano is the brilliant, Oscar Perez. A brilliant, world class musician, Oscar brings his incredible sounds when he regularly works with the likes of Don Braden & Big Funk, Christian Mc Bride, Wycliffe Gordon, Dave Stryker, Steve Turre, Adrian Cunningham and so many others.
