This week, as part of Shanghai Jazz’s continuing “Tuesday Trio Series,” Drummer John Vourtsis welcomes Pianist John Bianculli and Bassist Sue Williams to the stage! Pianist, composer and educator, John brings his lyrical, soulful sound and creative arrangements to Shanghai Jazz. You’ll hear a unique blend of Jazz, Latin, Brazilian, R&B and World Music.

Acoustic and electric bassist Sue Williams is a New York City based freelance musician who has performed with Eric Clapton, Steve Cropper, Joe Walsh, Eddie Brigati, Bernard Purdie, Jon Bon Jovi, Sheryl Crow, Vanessa Williams, Darlene Love, Ben E. King, Robert Palmer, South Side Jonny and The Asbury Jukes, Phoebe Snow, Milt Hinton Bass Quartet, Cab Calloway’s Swing Orchestra, and many others. Sue’s performances include Broadway shows, blues and rock shows and recording studio work. As a Broadway pit musician, Sue has played in numerous Broadway shows including Mr Saturday Night starring Billy Crystal,  Little Shop of Horrors and Jersey Boys.
