Alex Wintz Trio

Jazz guitarist and Morristown, NJ native returns to Shanghai Jazz with an exciting trio featuring Jimmy Macbride on drums and Luke Sellick on bass. Wintz has been one of the most in-demand jazz guitarists in the New York City jazz scene for the last decade. He has been featured on countless recordings including a Grammy nomination for his contributions with the Terraza 7 Big Band and can be seen gracing the stage at the Newport, Monterey, Montreux, and Montreal jazz festivals alongside artists such as Etienne Charles and Creole Soul, Ben Williams and Sound Effect, Roxy Coss, and Nick Finzer Hear and Now.  Alex Wintz will be performing music from his newest release, "Live to Tape" as well as his fresh take on classics from the Great American Songbook.
