The JD Jazz Trio features Sherrie Marricle on drums, Noriko Ueda on bass, and Tomoko Ohno on piano.

This evening we celebrate these three incredibly talented ladies’ new release, NIGHTWIND, the music of Erroll Garner.

Sherrie Maricle is a true powerhouse in Jazz. She is co-leader of the 3 Divas Jazz Trio, The Divas Jazz Orchestra, and Five Play. She has played all over the world from Broadway to Lincoln Center to the Kennedy Center, CBS Sunday Morning Show, and they were featured in the film Girls in the Band. Sherrie is an acclaimed composer, band leader, drummer, and educator.

Noriko Ueda is originally from Hyogo, Japan. After graduating the Berklee College of Music in Jazz Composition major (1997) relocated to Brooklyn, NY. She has performed, toured and recorded with various groups as a sideman, also she leads “Noriko Ueda Jazz Orchestra” and "Noriko Ueda Trio" which performs her original compositions and arrangements.

Tomoko Ohno is an established pianist in the jazz scene in NYC. has been performing with Slide Hampton, Rufus Reid, The Dizzy Gillespie Alumni Big Band, and is the pianist for the Diva Jazz Orchestra. Ms. Ohno has also released albums as a leader in Japan, U.S., and Argentina.
